New Takeabreak Cam shows close up of Central North Island Mountains
Mountains from the left Ruapehu Ngauruhoe and Tongariro.
It is confusing as Mt Ruapehu is west of the others and closest to Mt Taranaki but looking from the Suncourt Hotel in Taupo Mt Ruapehu is on the left of Mt Ngauruhoe and Mt Tongariro.
Mt Ruapehu is the highest at 2,797 m (9,177 ft) next is Mt Ngauruhoe at 2,291 metres (7,520 ft) and Mt Tongariro at 1,978 metres (6,489 feet)
Mt Ruapehu is a greater distance from Taupo. This makes Mt Ngauruhoe appear to be the highest mountain.
